About the Founder
Intersmart Consulting was founded by Christian Trieb, a German civil engineer and sustainability consultant based in Taicang, China.
Coming from Germany’s Münsterland region, known for its engineering excellence, family-owned enterprises, and strong work ethic, Christian combines technical expertise with a practical, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset. His approach is built on reliability, transparency, and long-term relationships — values that have guided him throughout his professional career.
Over the past 20 years, he has worked with investors, developers, manufacturers, and international companies across Europe and China. This experience has given him a deep understanding of different business cultures, regulatory environments, and client expectations.
Christian is known for combining strategic thinking with practical implementation, helping clients navigate complex challenges while maintaining a clear focus on quality, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
As a certified DGNB Consultant, he actively promotes sustainable building practices, ESG principles, and resource-efficient solutions. Through Intersmart Consulting, Christian supports clients with independent advice, international perspective, and practical guidance to achieve successful and future-proof project outcomes.
Professional Background
Christian began his career with vocational training as a bricklayer in the construction industry, gaining hands-on experience on construction sites and developing a solid understanding of building processes from the ground up.
Building on this practical foundation, he earned a degree in Civil Engineering and started his professional career in Germany, working on infrastructure and bridge construction projects. These early years provided valuable insights into engineering, project coordination, quality management, and construction execution.
Driven by a passion for international projects, Christian moved to China, where he became involved in large-scale railway and transportation infrastructure developments. Over time, his focus expanded to industrial and commercial construction, project management, business development, and leadership responsibilities in international environments.
Throughout his career, he has contributed to the planning, coordination, and successful realization of industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects. His multidisciplinary background spans engineering, construction management, business development, stakeholder coordination, and international team leadership.
This broad professional foundation enables him to understand projects from both a technical and commercial perspective and to develop practical, solution-oriented approaches that create measurable value for clients.
